Iconic Alaska Wedding Venues

Are you in the process of planning your perfect Alaska wedding and wondering where to begin with your search for Alaska wedding venues? I’ve narrowed it down to four of my favorites to help your search move along a little easier.

The Lodge at Lone Moose

Sitting on the edge of the beautiful Kenai River in Soldotna, Alaska, this upscale venue will immerse you in the iconic Alaskan outdoors. I love this venue for its variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, with its family reunion feel thanks to the cozy fire pits and farmhouse style tables.

The lodge itself can be either indoor or outdoor with the option to open up your event to the patio and lawn spaces, giving your guests the chance to enjoy the property’s unique beauty.

Snuggled in a rustic forest setting, the Lodge at Lone Moose features a collection of outdoor activities and accommodations including cabins, a yurt, and a teepee. But above all, the inviting atmosphere makes it one of my favorite Alaska venues.

Features of The Lodge At Lone Moose

  • Space for up to 150 guests

  • On-site accommodations

  • Private bridal suite

  • Indoor and outdoor spaces

  • Table settings

  • Decor including neon signs, photo wall, and wooden arbor

Inn at Tern Lake

With panoramic views of the nearby Kenai Mountains, this Alaska venue is family owned and operated on 9 acres of private land in Moose Pass. As an outdoor venue, the Inn At Tern Lake is as picturesque as it gets with its manicured grounds, colorful wildflowers, and idyllic pond. In the Tern Lake Valley, the views seem endless with the surrounding Chugach National Forest, the mountains and alpine forest stretching as far as you can see.

It’s true you might want to stay forever, but with a three night lodge rental you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the scenery and enjoy the many outdoor activities this venue has to offer, including paddle boating, tennis, hiking, and fishing. The cherry on top? The owner’s delicious catering!

Alpenglow Lodge at Arctic Valley

Only a short drive from Anchorage, this outdoor wedding venue in Alaska is a great choice for couples who love to feel immersed in the amazing views this state has to offer. The Alpenglow Lodge is a popular ski destination during the winter months, but it truly shines during the summer time with its green mountains and far-reaching skies.

One of this venue’s stand-out features is the chairlift which you can rent out for you and your guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. (Can you imagine the photos? Stunning.) While ceremonies are held outside and backdropped by the Alaskan mountain ranges, the lodge itself is two stories and has plenty of natural lighting, so the views never stop. You can see how I planned a sunshine-infused Arctic Valley Wedding for one of my couples.

AK Diamond J Ranch

There isn’t a venue in Alaska that better captures the spirit of this great state than AK Diamond J Ranch. Found in Homer, Alaska, this location is a beautiful ranch-style venue owned and operated by an incredible family that you’ll love to work with. The rustic, yet chic style of the venue and barn makes it a beautiful complement to the surrounding 25 acres of land near the Kachemak Bay. I love the variety of scenery from the graceful barn to the sprawling outdoor views, complete with flower fields, pastures, horses, and 4-wheelers.

Couples even have the option to rent the ranch for an entire weekend, so you can fully enjoy all it has to offer from rehearsal dinner to a brunch sendoff. See one of the barn weddings I planned there.
