Raven Glacier Lodge: The Perfect Alaska Wedding Venue for an Intimate and Romantic Celebration

The Alaska wedding venue is surrounded by lush trees and a small river flowing through creating the most peaceful setting. As if the grounds weren't special enough, the owner, Cathy Frost works inside to prepare the best wedding food in Alaska.
When I first met Kirsten and Tucker, just six weeks before their Alaska wedding they had a totally different wedding day in mind that was not panning out as expected. As time closed in, we quickly realized a back up plan would be needed and I had just the perfect venue in mind. When the bride and groom toured Raven Glacier Lodge, they immediately felt as though they were meant to exchange vows amongst their closest friends and family at the wedding venue near Anchorage.
Photography and design were two of the most important aspects to Kirsten and Tucker. I knew from their style and personalities that The Adams Co. was the perfect match to capture their day. Together as one of my full service clients, we spent hours designing and curating their unique and intimate Alaska wedding day. Fall colors, candles, and bohemian aspects were incorporated to bring together their ideal vision.
Kirsten and Tucker took the liberty to enjoy their wedding morning together in their favorite place: the mountains. They chartered a helicopter with Alpine Air to visit several glaciers, waterfalls and remote mountains. Kirsten put on her wedding dress outside of the helicopter once they had landed. They spent hours frolicking surrounded by fall colors. After returning to Girdwood, they shared beers at Girdwood Brewing Company and then prepared for their micro wedding at the lodge.
To infuse the celebration with romance, we adorned the lodge with hundreds of candles that created a warm, flickering glow and a magical ambiance throughout the night. The rich and vibrant hues of red, orange, and gold were brought into the design to encapsulate the fall season. Lily of the Valley designed beautiful greenery garlands teeming with flowers. These garlands, added a touch of freshness and elegance to the rustic charm of the venue. They brought nature indoors, connecting the lodge with the surrounding wilderness. Lastly, to add a touch of bohemian flair to the design, we incorporated macrame runners and place settings. These intricate and handcrafted elements blended seamlessly with the overall decor, creating a sense of artistry and individuality.
What a beautiful night it was celebrating Kirsten and Tucker!
